Seeking a Volunteer Planning Board Member
The Village of Dannemora is inviting interested residents to apply for an open volunteer position on the Village Planning Board. This is a great opportunity for someone who cares about the future of the community and wants to play a meaningful role in shaping local development.
What the Planning Board Does
Serving on the Planning Board means helping guide how the Village grows. Members typically:

Review site plans for new construction or redevelopment

Consider zoning issues and land‑use proposals

Ensure projects align with village codes, long‑term plans, and community character

Participate in public meetings and discussions

Work collaboratively with the Mayor, Board of Trustees, and other Village officials
It’s a role for someone who enjoys thoughtful decision‑making, community involvement, and learning how local government works. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn and a commitment to the Village.
