Full-Time DPW Laborer

The Village of Dannemora is seeking a full-time Department of Public Works (DPW) Laborer to join our team.

 

Position Overview:
This position involves a variety of public works duties including, but not limited to, roadway maintenance, snow removal, grounds maintenance, and operation of assigned equipment. The successful candidate must be able to perform physical labor in all weather conditions and work as part of a team.

Seasonal DPW Laborer

The Village of Dannemora is accepting applications for a Seasonal Department of Public Works (DPW) Laborer position. This opportunity is ideal for high school or college students looking for hands-on work experience during the summer or seasonal months.

 

Position Overview:
Duties include general public works tasks such as grounds maintenance, roadside work, assisting with equipment and tools, and other labor-related assignments as needed. Applicants must be able to perform physical labor in all weather conditions and work well as part of a team.

Schedule:
Seasonal, full-time hours during the assigned season (dates to be determined).

Full Time AEMT/Driver

This position involves responsibility for the supervision and training of Emergency Medical Technicians as well as providing emergency medical services to residents of a fire district. The incumbent operates specially equipped medical vehicles in the transport of victims to area hospitals. The incumbent, possessing the appropriate certification level from the New York State Department of Health required for the position, renders initial medical services to persons requiring medical assistance. The work is performed under general supervision with considerable leeway in the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work. Supervision is exercised over Emergency Medical Technicians. Employees are required to recertify on a periodic basis for the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification or higher-level required for the position. The incumbent does related work as required.
